Transcription Services

With over 20 years experience as an editor and teacher, I am uniquely qualified to provide you with accurate yet easy to read "intelligent verbatim" transcripts. Please review the rates below and message me with details about your project, including the number of files and the length of each. It's that simple to get started! 
 

RATES 

• Base Rate: $1.00 an audio minute, for a clear audio file of 1 to 3 speakers.

• Additional costs:

  • .10 per minute for each additional speaker.  

  • .25 per minute for unclear audio files (rarely assessed).

WHAT TO EXPECT 

• AN EDITABLE WORD DOCUMENT: Your final product will be in a neat and easily editable Word document, ready for publication. I will mark any incoherent passages or questions with a time stamp for you to easily review and revise. If you would like time stamps throughout the transcript, just let me know before we begin! 
   

• ACCURACY: I stake my reputation on this! I value accuracy over speed because the extra time it takes me to verify the correctness of my transcription saves YOU time and energy in reviewing the file before publishing it to your community. If there is ANYTHING I am uncertain of as I transcribe your file, I will clearly mark it for your review! 
   

• EASY READABILITY: No matter how hard we try to be clear, verbal speech is marked by run-on sentences, verbal pauses, stutters, false starts and a variety of verbal tics that make reading traditional transcripts tedious and difficult. My clean-verbatim transcripts will edit out any of these verbal issues without any loss of accuracy or the "voice" of the speaker.
   

• CLEAR COMMUNICATION: from the moment we agree to work together, I will stay in touch with any questions or concerns I have as I complete the project. 
   

• HONESTY: I'm putting this out there right now. I am a full-time English teacher from mid-August to early June, which means I am not always free to take on as much work as I would like. I will be completely upfront with you about the time-frame necessary to complete any project you bring to me. 
   

• YOUR SATISFACTION: If you are unsatisfied with any aspect of the final product, I will do everything in my power to make it right.
