Editorial Services

My goal is to provide you with quality service designed to meet your unique needs. Please review the services below, decide the level of service you need, and message me with information about your project. It's that simple to get started! RATES

 

  • CONTENT EDITING: $7-9 per manuscript page (*250 words per page) 
    This is the first stage for most authors. The process involves working closely with you on your manuscript to hone clarity, writing style, content, organization, and structure. I also attend to copy-editing issues such as spelling, sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation. Basically: all of the components necessary to make sure your message is clear, concise and compelling. 
     

  • COPY EDITING: $4-$5 per manuscript page (*250 words per page) 
    ALL writers should have a good copy editor--someone to look for issues in grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, with minor editing for style and clarity. 
     

  • PROOFREADING: $2-$3 per manuscript page (*250 words per page) 
    No matter how great your editing processes are, you simply won't catch everything! It's always good to have a final set of eyes review the manuscript for errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling and word choice. 
     

WHAT TO EXPECT
 

  • A HIGHLY COLLABORATIVE PROCESS: I typically work with authors using Google Docs because we can both access the manuscript at any time during the process. I'll make edits using the "suggesting" feature of Google Docs, which allows you to see and approve or deny every suggestion along the way, in real time! Or, if you'd prefer, we can use Microsoft Word and the similar "track changes" feature.  
     

  • CLEAR COMMUNICATION: from the moment we agree to work together, I will stay in touch with any questions or concerns I have as I complete the project, and I'll be available to answer your questions or concerns. 
     

  • HONESTY: I'm putting this out there right now. I am a full-time English teacher from mid-August to early June, which means I am not always free to take on as much work as I would like. I will be completely upfront with you about the time-frame necessary to complete any project you bring to me. 
     

  • YOUR SATISFACTION: If you are unsatisfied with any aspect of the final product, I will do everything in my power to make it right.
